Orioles win; Yankees lose

Keuchel was cruising until the 5th inning, when the Yankees scored an unearned run when Keuchel's defense made TWO gaffes.

The first batter of the inning reached on an error. Then with 2 outs and the bases loaded, the Yankees scored a run on catcher's interference (Brian McCann's glove was touched by Jacoby Ellsbury's bat when he swung.

 

He pitched one additional shut inning in the 6th before departing.

17 out of the 18 outs that he recorded came via the Strikeout and the Groundout ........ 17 out of 18 !!! )

They did.

But it was really annoying watching the Royals get stomped by the Yankees in the first 2 games of their 3-game series with them, immediately after they had swept the Orioles.

 

I turned the TV on on Monday evening, and the score was 5-0 in favor of the Yankees in the 4th inning.

The very next evening, I again turned on my TV set, and the score was 9-2 in favor of the Yankees in the 5th inning.
