The Orioles have won 11 consecutive series against the Yankees at home.

The last time that the Yankees won a series in Baltimore was in 2013.

And in that 11 series home winning streak, the Orioles overall record vs. the Yankees is 24-9.

On the flip side, the Orioles are 1-13 in their last 14 series openers at Yankee Stadium, dating back to the beginning of the 2013 season.

Angels overcome a 4-run deficit to beat the NYYs, 7-5. David Hernandez pitches the ninth to get the save, despite a valiant effort by the replay umpires to bail out the NYYs in the ninth by calling a clear catch against the wall a double.

This thread has been dormant for too long. Let's bring it back on regular basis.  :D

The Yankees have lost 4 straight games ...... 2 to the Angels, and 2 to the Athletics.

Believe it or not, the Orioles have actually gained a game on them in that span.

Make that 5 straight losses for the Yankees.

Plus, the Orioles won today.

The Orioles are now 5 and-a-half games behind the Yankees.

Five straight losses for the erstwhile juggernaut from the Big City, today falling 5-2 to the A's with another unimpressive start from Tanaka.  :excited:

We could be right in the thick of this race, with just three more good starters, an OFer who can hit and field, and maybe a  SS. We're that close.
