I think it's time to stop updating the wild-card standings. If, by some chance, the Orioles put together a winning streak, then they can start talking about it again. Showing it while they're stinking to high heaven just more depressing.

    • Weird timing for this OP as usual for Roy. It's like he doesn't even watch the games. Mullins walked, stole a base, scored a run, and struck two balls hard right at someone. Best he's looked in a long time IMO. If you can't see that, you just don't know ball, sorry. Use your eyes.
    • Norfolk 2021-2024 - all the guys wRC+'s increment quite finely almost one at a time: Adley 138, Gunnar 137, Vavra 135, Kjerstad 134, Holliday 134, McKenna 134, Mayo 133, Westburg 130, Cowser 129, Ortiz 128, Stowers 121, Norby 117 We have a view of Adley-Gunnar-Westburg performances after about half a year of MLB experience. This month about 3/9ths of the team PA are with health going to Jorge Mateo, Ryan O'Hearn, and one of the longtime starting outfielders.     They are priority plays, org's decision, over Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo and Heston Kjerstad. Two weeks from today, it is conceivable the Yankees could complete a sweep and be about 9 games up with 90 to play.    What might optimal Rest of Season use be then?
    • Hopefully, it’s one of Vespi, Tate, or Akin, that gets optioned. Akin could use a de-load himself, but do we trust Vespi enough has a back end arm?  He’s been great the past two seasons as a shuttle arm. Holding LHH to a .430 OPS.
    • This is just load management. Hopefully. Fingers crossed. We’ve seen the entire NBA do this. Why is so ground breaking for baseball?
    • I’d be surprised if it’s not Bradish to the IL.  Hoping it’s just a tired arm but the fact that they’re being so coy raises alarms for me.
    • I think he stays in Bowie all year. Hopefully healthy. That would be best case scenario. Keep in mind he didn’t convert to pitcher full time his 2nd year of college. He only had 150 IP of pro ball coming into this year. He’s at 35 IP for this season. Only 66 IP in college. He’s a project that is finally healthy and having success. Leave him where he is. We’ll see what happens after the deadline. We did a really good job in those trades ID’ing Povich, McDermott, and Johnson. Cano too.
    • I don't think he will be called up that soon. Probably will get another 200 plate appearances - after the trade deadline
