That's just trolling, you know. :) It's not even right. The O's nixed Aaron Sele on medicals, and yes, he started having arm troubles 2-3 years later after 400+ innings and another 7 or 8 fWAR.

If I recall the O's docs were comfortable with a short term deal.

I'm not so excited about a rotation that will have one of Worley/Wright/Wilson pitching every 5th day... I know Gallardo wasn't everyone's favorite but he seems much better than our current options

Worley, Wright and Wilson gives three W's. How bad can that be.

Honestly is Worley that much worse than Gallardo?

Worley Career: 3.79 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 3.76 FIP, 6.9 K/9, 2.7 BB/9

Gallardo Career: 3.66 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 3.75 FIP, 8.2 K/9 (but 5.9 last year), 3.3 BB/9

Only big advantage for Gallardo is K/9 but that number took a big dip last year. Maybe I am just rationalizing, but Worley is younger while Gallardo is a regression risk. I would not mind having Worley plus the #14 pick.

Agree with others, however, that the more worrisome question is whether this costs us Fowler as well.

Results per inning? No. Comparable pitchers. Health? Large difference. Cost? Large difference. Risk? Very different profiles. If you told me that Worley's arm would stay attached for 180 innings I'd much, much rather have him than Gallardo.
