This team has won 8 of 9 of his starts. I know everyone's feelings about the win stat, but it'd be really cool if he gets 20 this season.

Sure. Individual wins for starting pitchers are one thing, but team wins are the only regular season stat that really matters.

Incidentally, Tillman is now 62-43 for his career, for a 59.0% win rate, all as a Baltimore Oriole.

(including St. Louis Browns)

20. Sidney Ponson (73)

20. Lefty Stewart (73)

22. Bob Muncrief (69)

23. Sam Gray (67)

23. Jack Kramer (67)

25. Dick Hall (65)

26. Hal Brown (62)

26. Chris Tillman (62)

28. Storm Davis (61)

29. Rodrigo Lopez (60)

Tied with Hal "Skinny" Brown, one of my childhood favorites.

Tillman has looked fantastic this year. When he hasn't, he's limited it to an inning or so. But he's done a great job of minimizing damage and getting back on track. That and his overall repertoire looks stronger. Too bad run support he and Gausman is waning.

Struggling with FB command and the dips in velocity is curious. He was 88 mph on the HR to Kipnis and then 94 mph to the next guy. Falling off to the left side of the mound affects his balance and he usually pulls off the target when it happens. A lot of CH left up today and underuse of the CB which he was throwing it for strikes. Where was the slider? When he's struggled with FB command in the past he uses all his pitches to his advantage.
