Bailey has a May 1st opt-out. Frieri had his yesterday apparently but didn't opt out.

Alex Presley has been told he will not make the Brewers’ Opening Day roster, MLBTR has learned. There will now be a 48-hour period in which other teams can decide whether they want to add Presley to their active rosters, and if someone does, the Brewers must allow him to depart or assign him to their own active roster.

How does he get an opt out? Am I missing something? He isn't anything special, right?

I wanted Burnett, ugh.

Swisher to NYY makes sense.

That Swisher signing is a good one for NY. Not because it makes any real baseball sense, nor that there is real evidence that he still has gas in the tank. More so that you just know they'll have some injuries and somehow Swish will make it back to the bigs and have a couple big games. Probably against us. Because it's the Yankees.

Really surprised Pittsburgh hasn't picked up Masterson or Lincecum on a minor league deal. Either they aren't 100% healthy, or just not enough room. They always seem to do well with reclamation projects (Volquez, Liriano, Caminero, and now Nicasio).
