Get Mayo and Kjerstad plenty of 1st base reps. evaluate the bench and keep one of Urias/Mateo and trade the other. Scour the world for a good contact hitting RH outfielder who can play defense in our LF and CF. With the Mountain coming back, I like the bullpen with the pieces we have. Bautista, DC, Dominguez, Soto, Akin, Webb, Perez And Suarez. -

That does not mean Hyde "hates pitchers". It means he didn't get along with Bleier, and actually sounds like Bleier was more of the problem. -
The story about someone saying Hyde hating pitchers is true. Apparently the pitcher was Bleier. He complained about defensive positioning. The organization decided that. This is a non story. Jon Shepard on X posted this.

The only thing I can think of is when Westburg came up last year Elias commented that he expected Westy to play regularly and at the end of the year said something like he considered Westy to be an "established" player. Elias didn't make a comment like that with Ortiz, Stowers, Norby, Holiday, or Mayo. IMO that was Elias telegraphing his wishes for Westy and possibly some frustration with Hyde playing vets over prospects.
