One third through the season the O's are on an amazing 93 win pace.

We just have to stay on pace through this tough August and expanded rosters will give us a boost in Septemeber. The pen would be so much better with Wilson and some lefties down there. Borbon and Avery and pinch runner and defensive replacements. Mancini as a pinch hitter. Pena and janish as extra players.

Keep in mind, anybody brought up, has to be on the 40 man roster.

In case anyone was curious, maintaining our current win percentage (57.5%) through the end of the season, STILL has us on a 93 win pace.

We never really dipped below 93 until the 5 game losing streak. And even then it was still 91 at the worst.

I think the goal right now should be 95 wins.

29-27 takes us to 90 wins. 34-22 for 95 wins. 32-24 brings us to 93 wins. Somewhere in there. Probably.

One-third through the season the Orioles are on an amazing 93-Win pace.

Amazing, considering how bad the starting pitching as been.

In the AL:

Offense

5th in runs with 255, on pace for 765

2nd in homers with 80, on pace for 240

6th in average with .261

4th in OBP with .324 (Major improvement of 2015 at .307)

2nd in slugging pct with .450

3rd in OPS with .774

Fielding pct

12th with .984 (Very poor, 2015 at .987)

Pitching

8th in ERA with 4.15

13th in Starter ERA with 4.99 (Major draw back for the team)

2nd in Reliever ERA with 2.81

ALMOST 2 MONTHS LATER ......

We're almost 2/3 of the way into the season now, and the Orioles are on pace to win ........ 93 games.

It's still possible that the Orioles go on a nosedive and finish the season at 85-77, but the pace that they have been maintaining for the entire season to date (93 wins) can no longer be chalked up to being that of a small sample size.
