Well if we keep Ubaldo and go with a 3 man bench that means one of Flaherty or Reimold must go. Or move two pitchers.

Really wish they would move on. This isn't like 2 years ago when it was year one of his deal. Can't see him in the rotation next year and he isn't a bullpen guy. Wright and Wilson provide starting depth like him and so does Worley. Maybe they get a very small amount of salary relief in a trade, but that maybe isn't worth keeping him. At the very least I hope they go with a 4 man bench tonight and try to make it work with Ubaldo in the pen. At least try, pen is in good shape right now. Branch has been rested and ODay is fresh.

Save Bundy's arm a bit in August by giving Ubaldo 2-3 more starts if he can do something like he did last time against the Twins. Tillman, Gausman, Miley, Gallardo, Ubaldo, w Worley, Bundy, Givens, Ondrusek, Brach, O'Day, and Britton in the pen until September, at which point the Vanimal or Bundy replace Ubaldo in the rotation.

Or else Ubaldo has shown that he can pitch 3-4 good innings, so he can do that in long relief.

If he begins with the bases empty since his current style of pitching presents the danger of walking or wild-pitching runs in.

Jimenez probably won't get dealt this weekend, but there is always the August 31 waiver deadline.

A few good more good starts over the next month and maybe we can find a way to move him.

A few more good starts (or relief appearances) can help the Orioles win games. Are some fans more interested in the O's pitching and winning more games, or are they interested in getting rid of Ubaldo?

That will work. If Bundy (or Gallardo or whoever) is limited to 5 innings, then Ubaldo can start in the beginning of the 6th with the bases empty.

These types of games kill this team. Tillman is the ace and the bulldog of the staff, and no question he may have started the 7th inning anyway. That being said giving Buck a 6 man pen is a joke. Only time Ubaldo will ever pitch is if we are down big or up 10 plus. I honestly don't think he will use him up 6-7 runs because he could walk the park and let the other team back in the game.

They made a mistake and keep compounding it. Just move on.

I can't believe Ubaldo prefers to sit on the bench rather than accept a minor league assignment. He has not pitched a single inning out of the bullpen. Even up 5 Buck refuses to play him. Ubaldo is just embarrassing himself at this point and it really is costing the team.
