On pace to go 108-54 at the 1/4 pole.
I’d say we’re pretty darn good. Having Bradish back healthy has been pretty miraculous. Now we have two lefties in our rotation for the Wall.
Life is good.
It makes sense. Grayson can come back and we don’t have to go to a 6 man rotation and DFA Baumann.
If the other 5 starters pitch well, it might be a good excuse to stick Kremer in the pen after his IL stint. He doesn’t really deserve the pen, but we only have 5 spots in the rotation and it’s hard to take LH SP our with our ballpark.
I know he ended up being overslot, but it’s rough that the Orioles took Norby when James Wood was available. Wood was a Olney, Maryland kid that went to IMG. Guys like that shouldn’t escape local teams especially since they are more likely to play decommit to play near home. He was a 6’7” athletic freak. Tough miss.
It’s crazy to me how I hear some talking head on the MLB channel etc acting like hie isn’t basically untouchable. There aren’t a lot of guys in the minors I would take over him. He also is getting a little more time at first it appears.
Ragans wasn’t that highly thought of when they traded him. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/rangers-boost-bullpen-with-aroldis-chapman-trade/
He also hasn’t been nearly as good as he was for the short stretch in 2023. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/cole-ragans-666142?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb
