I actually met Dempsey one time, when I was allowed to go onto the field for batting practice in a 2011 game against the Indians.

I was wearing my usual get-up ...... an Orioles mask on my face, an Orioles rally monkey draped around my neck, and Orioles orange foam finger, etc.

He said that we need more fans like that ........ and he easily could have included himself in that equation.)
