One of our more underrated prospects. We basically had him skip Frederick last year(6 games) in order to get him on the AA roster for the AFL. Good AFL and good ST. Could definitely see him getting added to the 40 man soon and being an up/down guy the rest of the season.

You are a very keen observer.    I haven't seen enough of Crichton to have noticed the difference in his mechanics.   I can only say that I attended a game in Sarasota where he pitched very effectively at 91 mph and I was surprised to see him hitting 95 and not getting outs in his debut.

This video is from the AFL last October.  I haven't seen him pitch either in SP or this regular season, but presumably this would be his normal arm slot.

Crichton has fought inconsistency his whole career. It's one of the reasons why his numbers aren't that great and why I've never really been too high on him. When he's on he can be very good, even major league quality, but you just don't know what you are going to get with him and that's a problem in the major leagues.
