O's getting some effective efforts from the shuttle

Asher and Wilson as starters; Verrett and Bleier as relievers have given the O's good outings.   I am sure all four will be back with the O's in the near future. Its will be interesting to see if they can be consistently good.  Ubaldo has been shaky and Tillman's injury has a ways to go before he will regain last years form.   The O's have a solid five relievers in the pen but the last two spots have not been claimed at this point.   If the shuttle can produce several pitchers that are consistently good it will help a whole this season and may set the O's up for next year as well..

One of the big reasons we're 17-10.

Do you think anyone is going to give Dan credit for constructing the 40 man roster with a bunch of optionable  pitchers?  Or will we still hear that they would rather he was in Toronto?

Optional pitchers is great.  I think its pretty lucky that we've gotten 4 good starts.  If we had gotten 4 bad starts no one would be praising the fact that they had options.

True.  But Dan looks like a genius right now.   All is good when it works.

Just to document some of these:

4/15 - Asher 6.1 IP, 1 R

4/22 - Aquino 6.0 IP, 2 R

5/2 - Asher 6.0 IP, 3 R

5/3 - Bleier 4.0 IP, 3 R (1 ER) (relieving Gausman, who was ejected in the 2nd inning)

5/4 - Wilson 6.0 IP, 3 R (pitching in place of Jimenez who had to be used in relief the night before due to Gausman's ejection)

5/5 - Ynoa 6.0 IP, 0 R (relieving Miley who was hit by a liner in 2nd inning)
