If we didn’t have three gaping holes in our rotation, I don’t think anybody would be complaining about our pace of activity this winter.    But it’s extremely nerve-wracking to have all three slots still unaddressed 11 days before pitchers and catchers report, and Duquette’s and Buck’s public statements don’t give anyone much comfort.

In my rat's ass of an opinion, the Orioles need to fill 2 of those holes in order to have a solid shot at winning anywhere between 85 and 95 games.

The 5th spot wouldn't be such a gaping hole if they had 4 solid starters.

Those free agent starting pitchers are still out there to be had. That's the good news. The bad news is that the Orioles might not get the 2 that they need in order to be a serious contender, and they may not even get one ........ unless Peter realizes/remembers that his advanced age means that this could well be his last chance to enhance his legacy.

You know it's bad when Frobby says this.  :)
