Manaea followed up his no-hitter against the Red Sox with another gem ........ 7 innings and no earned runs in a win against the Astros.

Beginning with 2 starts ago, Manea threw 14 consecutive no-hit innings against the Mariners, the Red Sox, and the Astros combined. Carlos Correa finally broke through with a single in the 4th inning of last night's game.

 

Granted that this is a relatively neutral story overall in terms of positive Orioles vibes, but the fact that a no-hitter against the Red Sox is enmeshed in it all made me want to expand and embellish on Manaea's overall success.

I think the O's will go .500 or better in May. The rotation is going to be too good for the slaughter to continue. Even a blind pig finds an acorn every now-and-then.

Looks like the O's have decided to stick with Wright.  If the O's go to a 12 man pitching staff to add a position player if will probably be Scott that go down.   That could happen when Trumbo  is activated this week.  Sardinas goes to make room for Schoop in about a week.  Its good to think that the O's will be getting healthy soon.

The Orioles won 2 out of 3 games from the Tigers this weekend.

The Red Sox lost 2 out of 3 games to the Rays this weekend.

The Orioles gained a game on them in the standings.
