That deal seems pretty uninspiring with Coloma still under control for 2 years. I guess it is just salary dump for TB to get rid of Spann.  They only took him to even Longoria trade up some with money.

Seems pretty straight forward, DiPoto uses Cano suspension rebate instantly.  Rays step down from Longoria to Span to nothing and they aren’t really interested in paying high arbitration figures for saves compilers.
