I really don't know enough to care. My initial reaction on a couple of these guys isn't great, but I trust Elias to bring in someone that will be on the same page as him. Right now, the manager needs to be more about putting players in the best position to grow and/or increase their value. It's not about winning this year so my typically reaction to managers' past on-field decisions really don't matter.

I've heard that Mike Redmond is a great baseball guy and is great with young players. Would love to see him because in the end the wins and losses won't matter. We need a coach that can get young players to produce.

I know very little about most of the candidates. I certainly don't know enough about any of their qualities and expertise relative to working with Elias and the system he builds to have a real opinion.  As a few have mentioned, that seems to be what is most important...The new manager should be an integral part of the system they build. I'm sure that will be an important trait for the new manager.

I would like to see the Orioles hire somebody who brings some diversity to the Orioles and MLB. I don't really know anything about the candidates but they all appear qualified. If they all did well in the interview, I will go with Grifol.

I have my opinions... and they don't matter much.  In ME I trust.  It's also clear the manager could be a 2-3 year guy to implement changes before the new-new manager comes for the competitive years.
