I think this gets a little overblown to ask about every single guy. Buck is young, so he probably is on board. But remember that analytics is just more/better information to help people coach better. As manager, he would be in charge of making sure his coaches can translate the information to the players in ways that make practical sense.

Without knowing much about him, I don't think he gets the job unless he is willing to embrace analytics.

This is a big job, too. AA will contain the majority of the team's top prospects over the next couple years, so having a younger guy there who embraces the new school stuff makes sense. It's also a really, really big endorsement of Britton.

What does this say about Ryan Minor who appears to be staying in Frederick?

Glad Kendall is staying in the system.  Norfolk seems like a good assignment for a coach/manager with his experience.

I will say this. Dan and Buck may have been progressive enough to let Britton manage the Shorebirds, but they SURE AS HELL would not have promoted him to AA this quickly. A level in which Buck (Showalter) held in such high regard.

I think this is one of the bolder, more interesting moves of Elias' tenure so far. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, but to me, giving this job to a 32 year old dude who just got his feet wet managing is pretty significant.

I'm excited about this!
