His ERA Is below 3,00 now and would be in the top five in the league if he had enough innings. He could end up with 10-12 wins, and that's even with him starting the season late. Kremeber could end up being the best pitcher on the current Bowie staff.

Of the Bowie pitchers, he is the most likely to get a cup of coffee for two reasons:

(1) He has to be added to the 40-man roster in the off-season anyway.

(2) He threw 131 and a third innings last year and has only thrown 94 and a third innings this year, so he isn't up against an innings cap.

I don't think we have enough information about Elias' philosophy on call-ups as this is his first September to know whether he might get a call, but I would imagine it is at least a possibility.

Good post and I agree.  I'm pretty high on him, so would love to at least get a taste of how his stuff plays in MLB.

Hoping he is a solid #3 for us whenever we are competitive.

Kremer looked like the guy we saw last year last night. Kremer worked 92-95 with a plus CB while working on his slider a bit more. The slider doesn't have a ton of tilt or depth, but he keeps it low and away to rights well but it won't be a good pitch against lefties. He threw only a couple of changeups but diod throw one on a 3-1 count for a strike. 

His fastball was back with bats as he got 7 swinging strikes on the pitch mostly up in the zone suggesting his spin rate is high. 

He made 2nd over pick in the 2018 draft Joey Bart (who was just promoted to AA) look pretty silly against his curveball all night. Bart took some really ugly tentative swings against Kremer's CB.

1 (R)- K looking on 92 fastball inside low (92) 90 earlier
2 (L) - 0-2 slider, lined to deep center
3  R - 1-2 K swing on CB after 95 MPH low and away FB

2nd IP

4 L - 1-2 K looking on CB  FB (94)
5 R - 3-1 BB on low outside fastball just off plate. Not missing by much

6 (L) - 2-2 K swinging up and in on 94 FB
7 R - 0-0 FB away lined into RF for 1B (1st and 3rd)
8 L - 0-2 FB up and in lined to 2B for out

3rd IP
9 R - 1-2 FB, missed his mark (grooved) for 2B

10 (1) R - 1-2 CB for swing K
11 (2) L - 1-2 CB swinging  K
12(3) R 2-2 FB away K looking (47 pitches)

4th
13 (4) L 3-2 FB, long fly ball to CF (hit well)
14 (5) R - 3-2 FB up and away.. BB
15 (6) L - 3-1 FB/CH away F-7 semi deep
16 (7) R - 2-2 SL away, weakly popped up to 1B in foul

17 (8) L - 3-2 FB, lows and inside for K looking (couple of CHs)

That is a head scratcher.   If they are trying to make the playoffs at Bowie, why promote Kremer to AAA?

You are probably right but its still strange.     Bowie is 2 out with 18 to play.   Kremer had 4 starts left which could have made an impact.

If you are talking player development how about getting some of the O's best prospects to experience the playoffs at the AA level.   That could help development of more than one player.

And why now?  They could have promoted Kremer and Lowther at the half way point.

Or it may be none of those but I don't care about the AA playoffs anyway.

If Kremer gets a promotion to the O's in September that would be counter to everything Elias has been preaching since he was hired.   That would be rushing him.

It would appear that Elias does not care about the AA playoffs either which is surprise to me.

      It did look like they already have their game legs back--maybe in time to make that dream come true. I live in Brooklyn and it's going to be a challenge to hold my place and my lip in the sports bars over the next three days (unless I go to one filled with Mets fans who are just letting one screen tune into the game in the Bronx).

      Frustrating sure, but boring is not what I would I say. We do steal bases at times. I would like for us to play more small ball sometimes and it is frustrating to see us be so homerun happy. I think with Westy back, we will see a resurgence of timely hitting as that is very contagious.   We saw that at the beginning of the year. Amazing sight to see for sure. I think the most disheartening thing that really shocked me is the apathy and outright disgust I’ve seen from O’s fans toward their team. Perhaps we have been spoiled? No idea. Maybe expectations were too high? No idea, but frankly, a lot of yall focusing on other things and simply not watching/posting would make next season a lot more enjoyable. This is the first time since 96-97 where we make the playoffs in back to back years and you guys have been acting like some real lame jerks this whole dang season. Frankly, yall should be ashamed of yourselves. We are an incredibly young team and with that come highs and lows, but yall don’t see that. You just love to complain and moan and bloviate. Where’s the heart? Where’s the loyalty? Where’s the gratitude? You’d think with all this team has overcome, especially being so young, y’all would be happy, but no. So go off on your little bike rides or whatever. Go watch a movie if this saga seems boring to you. I don’t care. Just for once this season, keep your immense negativity to yourself.

      Really an amazing run, 4 straight years. I completely agree with the ranking, too. There's no way Kjerstad is still a prospect though, right? 45 days is the cutoff and he's played in 48 games.

      i think we all are going to have ptsd from that 9th inning for a while,it was that brutally bad . they need to do some special to get us to forget about it
