I wonder where Luis Ortiz and Cody Carroll will continue their rehab assignments. Both pitched scoreless innings yesterday in the GCL.

I get that Harris Yett is old for the GCL, but the guy is having quite the year: .340/.429/.520, 17 BB to 8 SO.  Catcher looks like the deepest position in the minors so he may have a tough time moving up next year, but it’s obvious that he is having no trouble hitting GCL pitching.

I think Mills is more wanting to know, if the Org will keep him.

It’s interesting the different philosophies on that.   The Astros dropped their team at that level a couple of years ago.   The Red Sox have never had a team at that level.  The Blue Jays didn’t used to have a team at that level, then added Bluefield when we dropped them.  

I think at this level less is more. No need to rummage the sandlots to fill rosters of these types of talents. I'd be happy to consolidate further. I really think the only reason to have so many teams is to have places for the arms.

I could easily make a team of Frederick, Bowie and Norfolk. Just would not have room for the pitchers that we want to dream on.

At least most of our farm has a few position players that you can squint and see in the majors.  I don't think Frederick had one position player that has a realistic chance of making the bigs after McCoy's promotion - and he's fringy.
