And he doesn't really count because the Orioles rarely ever played against the Giants. Frank Thomas in his prime is probably the best comparable to facing Trout.

Another good one Indians lineup in the mid-90s was downright frightening. No lead felt safe against them.

I just tuned in, but when I saw that Trout scored on a sac fly hit to Smith, I knew it must have been caught real deep for Trout to be able to beat the throw home.

Lofton gets overlooked for how good he was. Probably from him playing in the steroid era and not being a home run guy.
