While I respect Hyde, I think he was being a little gracious.
Sisco's percentiles according to statcast in 2019:
Pop time to 2B: 2.10 (9th percentile)
Framing: (7th percentile)
MPH: 79.1 MPH (23rd percentile)
Add in that he's not a good tagger at plays on the plate, and his game awareness is below average, and I'm not sure we're looking at a guy who is starting from "average". Can he improve? Sure. How much? Probably not enough to be an everyday catcher in the big leagues unles
It’s clearly a factor but they have been playing crappy baseball (poor base running, defense, inability to move runners over) since June. It really hasn’t been much different than the last 2 weeks other than the pitching being worse and the offense being a little bit better. Still the same vibe though. They haven’t won a series against a team over .500 in 2 and a half months. They’ve won 1 series against a non Colorado or CHW team since 8/1. There’s zero reason they should be this bad.
So... who should be on the team instead of those 4 AAAA players? And given the timing of each injury to Westburg, Urias, Kjerstad and Mountcastle... how and when was Elias supposed to acquire/add them to the roster?

This says third tiebreaker is effectively intra-league league, which we can still lose to the Twins.
No …. He traded out Hays for Eloy. If you remember Hays and Mullins were both underperforming. And I don’t care when … This is a win now competitive team. There is no excuse for having a roster that has 4 AAAA baseball players on it. And he hung on to Kimbrel too long.
