Being named MVP of the team with the fewest defensive runs saved in the majors isn’t much to get excited about, but Alberto earned it on the strength of being solid at third base, and also the most efficient double-play turner at second base. His 86 percent conversion rate on double-play opportunities there was the highest in MLB (minimum 50 opportunities).

That's definitely good to know. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain this year's level of hitting next season. It's a mixed result, however, if the consequence is pushing Villar to SS.
