Cole looks like Cole in the second inning.  Much better location. Maybe we can work the count and get him out after 4 or 5 IP on pitch count. With a rested staff I can't imagine they'll leave him in beyond 100 pitches, and maybe even less.

He is sloooow. 12th percentile in the league last year, 22nd the year before. While that isn't necessarily dispositive it doesn't bode well for his athleticism imo.

Aaron Judge seems like a nice enough guy, even likeable.  He stays out of trouble (as far as I can tell), he engages in the community and generally does everything a player of his caliber should be expected to do as a role model.  Why do I wish that he fizzles out and he bounces around the league as a utility player for two years and then is out of baseball?

The Scherzer/Pearson matchup lived up to the billing.   0-0 bottom of the 8th, though Toronto is threatening.  (Yes, Toronto is playing a home game at Nats Park.   I wonder which team the fake crowd is cheering for?)
