Done deal, minor league deal with a spring training invite.  I bet Nunez was ticked about no NL DH.

Tigers signed 1B/DH Renato Nunez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Nunez was released by the Orioles back in late November despite registering an impressive .816 OPS with 12 home runs and 31 RBI over 52 games for Baltimore during the truncated 2020 campaign. The 26-year-old should get regular playing time this season in Detroit between first base and the designated hitter role.

Mets designated RHP Brad Brach for assignment. 

It clears room on the 40-man roster for Jonathan Villar, who signed on Thursday. The right-hander exercised his $2.075 million option for 2021, but he'll get that money without playing for the Mets, it looks like. He struggled last year with a 5.84 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over 12 1/3 innings, but his previous success likely means he'll find a new home shortly.

The Mets may become a real force with their new owner.    He’s a smart and pretty ruthless financial guy, with a lot more money than the Wilpons had.   Wouldn’t be surprised to see them become a top franchise.

Mike Wright is back in the states:
 

White Sox signed RHP Mike Wright to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The 31-year-old hurler spent the 2020 season pitching for the NC Dinos in the Korea Baseball Organization, registering a 4.68 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 125/63 K/BB ratio over 157 2/3 innings (29 starts). He'll provide organizational depth in the starting rotation for the White Sox.

Royals signed RHP Brad Brach to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Brach quickly found a new home after being cut loose by the Mets last week. The veteran reliever struggled last year with a 5.84 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over 12 1/3 innings, but he has a strong track record and makes for useful depth in camp.
