Jim Palmer, Ben McDonald, and Brian Roberts

If we get Palmer, Big Ben, and Brian Roberts doing the color for all the games this year I think we are pretty fortunate.

I thought originally Roberts was one of the people they let go. I was hoping they held on to him, he sounds pretty comfortable behind the mic and offers some good positional player insight.

It's great to see Roberts back in there. He's very good, at least in terms of the current crew. But yeah, the beat guys were all definitely saying he wasn't doing any games this year but would still be an ambassador type. 

Clearly that's changed, but I've seen no official reporting about it.

Maybe Robert's is doing a game or two while the club is in FL. I think he lives there and so it would save the price of a hotel room and a couple of meals if someone had to come in from out of town. Gotta keep the expenses under control.

I actually DM'd Dan Connolly. He said Roberts and Johnson were fill-ins because Palmer and McDonald weren't available. No long-term gig for Roberts/Johnson but they are available to fill-in here and there.
