Was wondering why the Sox were wasting a good pitcher like Sawamura in a game like this, but he hadn't pitched since Aug. 10th.

I know Watkins hasn’t done well lately, but I’d still rather have him than Plutko. Why in the world is he still here? He doesn’t eat innings because he’s terrible and he sure doesn’t keep us in games. When Zimmermann comes back, I’d love to see Akin take Plutko’s place in the pen and Plutko sent to Timbuktu.

Jeez the Sox had such a huge lead that they kept their pitcher in there for the full 9th inning: 10 batters, 5 hits, 2 homers incl. a grand slam, 2 walks, 7 earned runs.

They are going to have to make a move for tomorrow. I agree with Steve.  I think he is gone.
