Willy Yahn is catching for Aberdeen today

You have to love org guys like Willy Yahn.  Going into today, he’d played 1B, 2B, 3B, LF, DH and P this year, and SS back in 2017.   And now, in his fifth year in our organization, he’s starting today at catcher and hit a 2-run homer.   Just got to get him into a game in CF and RF and he will have played everywhere.   That shouldn’t be too hard.

Have to love the spread behind Yahn in the clubhouse - looks like a Motel 6 breakfast.

Maybe for the last game, he can play all 9 spots.

My question is...Why was he catching today? Handley and Rodriguez aren't listed as injured. Which also brings me to another question...Why is Ryne Ogren suddenly catching in Delmarva!?

Because he realized converting himself to catcher will allow him to prolong his career a bit more.

As for Yahn, he's a good little org guy. He'll do whatever and that's why he's been around for five years.
