The Diamondbacks have a team batting average of .188 and ranks last in all of MLB. Even with that poor of a team batting average the Diamondbacks team OPS is .617 compared to the O’s team OPS of .609.

The game has changed, but even in 1968 “the year of the pitcher” the lowest team batting average belonged to the Yankees at .214. 

I suspect offense will improve over the summer and that MLB might switch up the baseballs being used during game action. 

Also going by OPS+ the Reds easily rank as the worst offense at 64 (100 is league average). The next worst team OPS+ belongs to the Royals and Red Sox both at 81.
