5-2 now.

Need one more win to finish at least 6-3 or better.

Actually 6–2 already: 1–2 against Cincinnati, 3–0 against Texas, 2–0 so far against Pittsburgh. 7–2 is attainable. Here’s hoping that 5–5 against the Yankees and Rays was the swoon.

Now 45.6% to make the playoffs, 1.3% to win the World Series.

Why are you believing those numbers? No other site is close to that. Fangragphas has us at 5.1% to make the playoffs (up from 2.1% when Mancini was traded) and 0.0% to win the WS.

They have Boston who is way behind us at 28.8%.

538 has us at 14% to make the playoffs.

The betting markets have us at +650 which is also like 13%.

This is what I think of, when people talk about probabilities.

We finish those 9 games at 6-3. I’ll take it.

The rest of the month will be very tough. Every game, except one with the Cubs, is against a team in the playoff race (yes, Boston is on the fringe).

None of the teams in our division are playing well. Hopefully that continues and we continue playing quality baseball. We aren’t going to win them all and hopefully we get back on the streak tomorrow against the Jays

The weekend series with the Rays could loom very large. Currently the season series stands at 8-8; whoever wins the series will hold the tiebreaker in case the O's and Rays finish the season with the same record. No tiebreaker play-in games this year because Manfred hates fun.
