If I could trade player X for a cheaper guy who ends up being just as good as player X plus three other prospects, I think I'd do that trade repeatedly. This is why Elias doesn't need to draft pitchers, he can just multiply them.

Or, "Yeah, take a good look at these huevos." Maybe more "I dare you to hit it", though. I don't know. He seems very proud of his changeup.
oriolediehard
So far the Jorge Lopez looks good. We got Cano in that trade.

He's letting everyone know he's the king of the mound-tain. I even saw that same intensity tonight when he ran to first base to toss that fair ground ball to Mountcastle. He got the out, and got all fired up with that same intense pose.

He appears, in the SSS I've seen him, to have a very wide range of possible outcomes. We can dream he's harnessing that wickedness..... it's been fun to watch. Chris Holt was asked about Cano in today's game and he mentioned that when he first came over, Cano apparently had different release points for left vs right-handed hitters. They consolidated that into one in an effort to find consistency. 1

Chelsea_Phil
And I loved Baker’s Michael Jackson, moonwalk after getting that last strike out. A bit cocky, but so cool.
sportsfan8703
Wow, has Cano literally been exactly what our pen needed. It was just something as simple as stop trying to do too much. We would’ve really been on the struggle bus without his emergence. Perez has been wild this season.
Just Regular
Yennier 6 innings along hits me as one of the biggest wildcards for whatever this year might be - are we on the Cesar Valdez or Felix Bautista half of the football field? Goodness gracious if Orioles PD is in the Bautista half again.

Cano seems like a mix of Valdez and Bautista, and I don't know if I've enjoyed watching a pitcher as much as Cano since Valdez was waiting for the midnight bell to toll. bluedog
Cano has 6.1 innings without allowing a baserunner. 7 more batters in a row and he'll have a Fireman's Perfect Game.
