sportsfan8703
Just coming back from TJS. Still ranked #76 by MLB .com. He looked like a stud in his freshman year. Would love for us to sign him.

sportsfan8703
Pretty much 2nd rd pick value. Now it’s just a matter of how much over 150k do we have to spend.
btdart20
Tanner Witt - Baseball - University of Texas Athletics (texassports.com) Son of Lori and Kevin Witt… has four siblings Preston, Skyler, Cullen and Ripken. With a brother named Ripken, he has to sign! Tanner Witt Amateur & College Leagues Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com Has anyone seen anything from after his TJ? Some pretty big drop off in the top line stats.
waroriole
Is this the guy whose dad works for the Orioles? Maybe we give his dad a raise if we can’t go over the signing bonus amount. Wink wink

Jim'sKid26
Intriguing pick. Does he sign or does he bet on himself and go back to Rocky Top? There is a bit of $$ in Knoxville for a kid like this to replace Dollander as the Friday night starter. Guess we will see.

baltfan
This is a place where NIL money could make a difference. He could gamble on himself and actually potentially make up what he would get from Orioles with NIL money

For some reason I get those two mixed up. He's a 'horn not a Vol. Still wonder if he signs.
Jammer7
As I wrote in the Day 3 thread earlier, this pick just made some sense. I believe his dad does still work for the Orioles. Maybe he wants to go back and potentially be a first round pick in 2024, or perhaps he is ready to begin his pro career in an organization he feels comfortable with. I hope it is the latter. He was projected to be a first round pick until the TJ. He generally has very good command, but struggled this spring in his comeback from the surgery. The Kollin Ritchie pick is very interesting to me as well. Maybe they actually plan on signing one of them, for a figure somewhere around $1M. 1
