I can't see how the Orioles would not be in a division with the Yankees.  Geographically, I think only the Mets and Phillies are closer to the Yankees than the Orioles.

You are probably correct.  This was in an article I read about a week ago.  I personally think the odds of getting MLB to ditch the American and National Leagues is going to be hard.  But they say they want the Yankees and Mets,  the Cubs and the White Sox, the Angels and the Dodgers and Texas Rangers and Astros to play each other in divisional play.  We will see. 

So, the popular kids vs uhh struggling to come up with something other than "nerds" but that's silly and whatever. Hope the nerds beat the alphas every year in the world series. Seems dumb to want one division stacked with the rating getters and the other small market. Diluting the sport but whatever, I'm not in charge.
