I cant see Elias giving up on Mountcastle....he is too young.  I can see him trading Santander in the offseason.  I think that Mountcastle's real trouble will be Mayo.  I think Mayo is destined for first.

I don't think you need to get rid of the leagues altogether in order to make the schedule more even. Look at the NBA. Most people don't even know which division their own team is in, but the east/west divide still makes sense come playoffs time.

I don't think he'll give up on Mountcastle per se, but he might option him if he continues to swing at every single pitch thrown at him.
