When is the MLB trade deadline 2023? 

The MLB trade deadline this year is 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 1. All deals have to be finalized and submitted to the commissioner's office by then.

The newest CBA allows the commish to set it at a date/time NEAR July 31.   They try to set it on a day where there are no day games so that all the games that day are played after the deadline.    And they try to avoid weekends.

My anxiety is through the roof with anticipation to see what happens. My biggest concern is similar to yours with the Cubs; That nothing happens, or otherwise a bad bad trade from shopping at the bottom discount AAAA basement barn happens. I have absolutely no interest in a player like Lorenzen.
