Right, and when someone is DFA'd you have 7 days to trade them or else they pass through waivers and you get nothing for him.

It’s interesting that Eduardo would rather use his no trade to block LA and play Russian roulette with where he may get traded to.

With that said, we don’t know who the other 9 teams on his no trade clause are.

These no trade clauses must be absolutely brutal for front offices. Verlander and ERod dramatically affecting the value their teams can recoup. And I can't imagine things go back to being hunky dory once a player does exercise it given that they know you wanted rid of them.

Players don't usually bother blocking trades to lousy teams, which the O's were very bad when ERod was signed.  Although maybe ERod just wants to stay on the East coast.

My guess is the Ed Rod wants money to give his ok to the trade to the Dodgers.  I don't think its dead yet.

It was the front office that agreed to the NTC in the first place.
