Glad to see the Jays lose, I hate having to wait for a night game on a Sunday, but I hope the boys show up to play with their A games!

Pretty significant week. Orioles played great. SEATTLE and TEX played well. LAA looks done. Boston and NYY will need a major reversal. Real bad week for Boston. CLE in big trouble. Things keep moving like this may only be one team like Seattle trying to get in.

Except for the last wildcard spot. Mariners are 2.5 games back of the Blue Jays and they have an easier schedule the rest of the way.

It's tough to answer this but since 2015 the most wins a 3rd wild card would have had is 91.  But that only happened once in both leagues and that seems to be an outlier.   Most years the 3rd wild card would have around 85-88 wins.

 

But this comes with a big grain of salt because many of those seasons were only played with 2 wild cards available, so a 3rd wild card may have affected their willingness to trade at the deadline or otherwise go for broke

That is huge we lost no ground on them even when we dropped a series. To a much better team than STL. This stuff matters at this point in the year

Not a good series by the Orioles but as you guys mention 3 productive days nevertheless.  
 

TB definitely has issues. Some very good teams but all have flaws. Jays also went 2-2 so stayed the same in loss column.

Seattle has a very easy schedule next month or so they should be able to make up some ground vs Jays and Rays.  We are up 8 in the loss column we need to take at least 1 in this series to keep them good distance away from us.
