I think it was behind him enough that he had to use his left hand.    He was already a bit late getting to the bag, you need to lead him but this was behind him.   Reaching back around with his glove hand would have made him even later getting there.

He hasn't been an unhittable menace, just a well above average relief pitcher. Honestly, if he's a true talent 3.00-3.30 relief pitcher that's still great.
