I was there. It was the first baseball game that I've walked out on in years. Tides had the lead, then Durham put up something like 8 runs in an inning and we left in the 8th or so.
A bit depressing that the AAA team and the big league team get blown out like that on the same day (I was tracking the O's on my phone at the game).
Plus we got soaked by a crazy violent rainstorm before play even started. Just an overall loser of a day. At least the rain cooled things off. It's been over 100 this week where I live.
The Trinity of Basallo, Mayo and Holliday must remain intact.
I'd trade Kjerstad as the centerpiece with other guys like Norby, Stowers, and another lower level lottery ticket.
I watched a good chunk of this tonight and...good Lord. It's like watching a completely different sport in some respects. The differences were too much to list.
I skipped around but one thing I noticed...right after Earl gives his post game interview at the 3:16.10 mark...is that a very young Cal Ripken Jr. walking across behind Wes Parker for a split second?
How about Basallo and Kjersted for Skubal? I mean, that's probably what they are asking. Or Holliday straight up. That's just a guess, if they are actually willing to trade a guy like that.
If only OH existed in 1983 when the Orioles had two 7 game losing streaks and ended up losing the first game of the ALCS and World Series.
There would have been posts on how Eddie Murray isn't a clutch player.
