What, you were afraid he'd give up the two runs like Cano did anyways? RHB have slashed 133/.133/.200/.333 off Akin this year before this game. He gave up two hits. Yes, I would have kept in him and hoped he could give me two innings. 

But unlike Hyde, I'm not a huge proponent of running through my relievers on a nightly basis and take releivers out with 4-run leads when they run into a problem.

I say it again if Cowser and Westburg turn into impactful players the Orioles are going to mash for years.  And both have been kind of over looked.  But technically they are both first round picks so they got the upside bloodlines.

I would have been afraid it would have gotten a lot worse than the inherited guys. I think we would all prefer Akin had just done his job.

Holliday is going to need to learn to throw the ball a little harder to 1B. Those plays are all way too close.
