Norby vs Cook - Who has more of a future with the O’s?

Trade them both, IMO. They will be a better fit for another team and we need pitching.

Cook is gone.  Added Patrick Reilly for him. I think that’s a really under the radar excellent move. Reilly has some nice stats at 22 years old in A ball and I don’t think Cook is a real prospect.

The Os lost some pitching, so adding Reilly helps.

Kinda just common sense. You didn't think Elias was going to let these assets go to waste when we have holes in the pitching pipeline, did you?

Grow the bats. Buy the arms. This was the plan. Not too many 2nd-6th rd picks left. Rhodes, Trimble, Wagner, Fabian, and Josenberger. Those rounds supplied us a lot of trade ammo.

Cool always struck me a guy who would play 5-8 years in the majors as a journeyman bench player.  Maybe a good year along the way as a starter.

I would think Cook might get called immediately for a bench spot with the Pirates.

Cook actually was on the team 2 hours longer. So technically he had more of a future.

Stowers is on the Marlins 26 but they actually sent Norby down to AAA.   That’s a cold shot.

I agree.  It's not a big impact trade like the others, but I like it the best since we lost some pitching prospects from our already thin system.
