Getting put in the lineup as a CF sounds like a great prank before telling the kid he’s getting called up. I don’t think the journalists are in on the joke but them posting the lineup on Twitter definitely adds to the humor. I hope I’m right

The Yankees scored an insurance run in the 9th tonight on a groundball to 2nd that Westburg probably should have gotten to.  Westburg has clearly regressed defensively at 2B this year but still looks good at 3B.   Tony mentioned in the game thread that Westburg's defensive struggle at 2B is one of the reasons Mayo is still at Norfolk.  

It's becoming clearer to me that Mayo's future with the O's is at first base, and that Mountcastle should be traded this month (if not the offseason) to make room for Mayo.  Mountcastle would be one of the best hitters available on the deadline market and should be able to fetch a couple of good prospects to help restock the system.

Holiday is the 2b of the future so Westburg will have to move to 3rd is my thinking.  Which makes 1b the only option for Mayo.  Or RF but I have not heard of him ever playing out there
