Gunnar or Witt try to be impartial?

Cost is a factor. Witt was willing to sign an extension and will be a Royal for the foreseeable future.

We have Gunnar for four more years. That makes the decision pretty obvious.

They are amazingly similar but I wonder if Witt makes the kind of poor-judgement throws that Gunnar sometimes makes?

Gunnar for me.  More career WAR in over 500 fewer at bats.  More WAR this season even with Witt hitting .341.   Witt is one of the most valuable players in the game right now, but Gunnar is the most valuable player in the game right now.

rWAR has it Judge/Henderson, Witt.

 

It's basically a three way tie.

Both Witt and Gunnar have 11 errors this season.
