Rutschman has 3 ABs and has started each by looking at strike 1. I understand this has been his pattern forever, but pitchers are grooving first pitches to him knowing he’s always in take mode. Maybe if he jumped on some of those fat first pitches he’d have more productive ABs and opposing pitchers would be more afraid of him.
