Mets-Braves tiebreaker?

It's complicated.

Mets Braves and DIamondbacks are fighting for the last 2 wild cards.

Right now Braves are a game ahead of the Mets and Dbacks:

Atl 88-71|
NYM 87-72|
Arizona 88-73

The Braves lead the season series with the Mets 6-5.   So basically, the Braves have the tiebreak, EXCEPT if the Braves win today, the Mets lose, and then the Mets were to sweep a doubleheader tomorrow from Atlanta.  Then the MEts would win the season series 7-6 and have the tiebreak.

Arizona loses the tiebreak to either team.   So they are in trouble.

Sounds like Diamondbacks need a sweep.

How much do the Braves and Mets hate each other?

The Game 1 winner clinches a berth.    How hard does the Game 1 winner play Game 2?

Not a lot of love between the Mets and Braves.

I wonder if Chris Sale is the most tuckered out Cy Young favorite in history.

All week long, the evergreen day to day story is the Braves are trying to avoid using him, hoping to conserve for NLWC Game 1 even though the berth itself is at risk.

This Helene byproduct is unfortunate for the Diamondbacks.    MLB has been diligent trying to prevent a scenario like this occurring.

Are the gambling sites giving odds on a split tomorrow?
