Bergesen looks as good as I've seen him. He put that 3-2 pitch on a tee for ARod, but other than that almost every pitch has been right on the corners and the bottom of the knees with movement. I think he could end up with a pretty solid line tonight, 6-7 innings with 3 runs seems within reach. Just keep throwing those ground balls. And don't make any more big mistakes, especially not to ARod or Tex.

I'll take facing Matsui over A-rod ten times out of ten.

I'd rather face Matsui as well. But the drop off isn't to the extreme that I would willingly put an extra base runner on every single time to face Matsui.

You may prove to be right, but BB like all of the calvary will need to be given plenty of time to grow. Most will struggle early. Give them time to improve.

Oh, I think he should continue to pitch, he'll be valuable as a #5, every team needs one. Looking at his minor league periph's, suggest his upside was never great. He's had good results in the minors, but 4.5K per inning doesn't translate to a long and successful career in the majors as a front end guy, most of the time.

A classic. I am amazed they got it in.

Agreed but the last 4 words of your post is why a team in the Oriole situation must be patient.

By most of the time, its probably like better than 90% or so. You would have a real hard time finding a list that would encompass your hands and toes, of top or the rotation guys who don't strike people out.

Yes I made those odds up, I have no clue, it could be 99% or it could be 80%. ;)
