This would be a fantastic trade.

However, I'm having flashbacks of when we traded for Kris Benson. All along, it was "Julio for Benson," "Julio for Benson," "Julio for Benson." Then when the trade was official, it suddenly became Julio and Maine for Benson.

Here's hoping that's not how this turns out!

Some would refuse to believe this but I have a lot of confidence in MacPhail when it comes to making trades.

He isn't going to trade a valuable prospect for a 1 year stopgap IMO.

The Rangers are a bit cash-strapped, and they need some money to make a couple of more moves. Combine that with Millwood's age, and I can see why they are doing it.

Yeah, this is why the Millwood signing shouldn't preclude a Bedard deal.

But it could also work out perfectly, with Millwood going out in a deadline deal just about the time Bedard is ready to move in.

I can live with Millwood for a year. Millwood and Guthrie should be able to anchor a staff that may take its beatings from time to time this year with all the young arms.

All I have to say is that if you are going to the ballpark and Millwood is the starter, its not a big letdown. The team has come a LOOONG way from Adam Eaton.
