I'd lobby to put Jackie Robinson at the top of the list. I agree that the Babe is probably the most recognizable player of all time, but what Jackie Robinson did for baseball will never be topped.

Well, like I said in my list, there's a chance that there could have been someone with the combination of skill and personality that made Jackie Robinson perfect to be the first black player in the major leagues. It is far less likely that there could have been another Babe Ruth.
