Wind's been blowing out the last few days and that looked carried, just barely cleared the fence. Not that I like warning track action.

I don't care about the HR as much as the quality of that 1-2 pitch. He hung that thing bad...and right after I opened my big fat mouth to say how consistent that pitch was too.

That he did. Really good fastball. And outside of the HR pitch and one other in the last at bat, his slider looked a lot better than last year. That's a quality pitch if he can throw it consistently. Even got a swing and miss with the change. I'm encouraged.

To bring this thread full circle, the MLB Network broadcast was blacked out here for some reason. The game was not on NESN so I have no idea why it was blacked out. Ended up listening to some of it on Red Sox radio which consisted mostly of a running (and boring) conversation with Jeff Torborg who apparently lives in Sarasota.
