How far is Miggy from a call up?

You honestly think a good 3B (even Wright or Longoria) would have picked up that bunt? I don't. I think it was just unlucky all the way... you have to leave that thing and hope it runs foul.

I think they'd have picked it up if they saw the runner going to second, yes.

On a bunt like that you'd never catch them at first, so you play the odds and see if it goes foul. Otherwise, an opportunity to get the runner at second? You go for it.

I can't believe someone wasn't hollering that he was going to 2B. I have to think Betemit wasn't paying attention.

Tejada made a throwing error while playing 3B for Norfolk today that led to 2 runs and a loss. That can't help him.

I really don't understand why the O's are even going down this road. I had enough of Miggy towards the end of his first stint, didn't like him at all in his second.

Why would anyone think that a third stint would be any better than what we currently have on the roster?

I hope they just view him as an upgrade for Norfolk.

I am ambivalent about MT. On one hand, if he can play half of the offense and defense he used to, he would be worth a shot. On the other hand, he brings a negative "vibe" with the steroids story, being a part of bad past teams in an O's uniform, do you really want to mess up with the great chemistry in this clubhouse?

Very far from a call-up, if it ever comes. He's not going to come up unless a lot of guys in front him get traded, released, or placed on the DL. When Reynolds comes off the DL he's going to be back at 3rd several games a week, and Tejada serves no purpose right now that other guys aren't already serving.

I would like to see him soon.

Again, I can't seem to post this enough... I think most people are hoping and expecting to see this miggy

<a href="http://s1106.photobucket.com/albums/h367/isestrex/?action=view&current=Tejada.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h367/isestrex/Tejada.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

...but that Tejada is long since past. He's a washed up infielder with no power and very little OBP these days. He was a filler/bench/util/pinch hitter for the Giants TWO years ago when they won the world series. I don't see how the current Miggy is any upgrade over what we currently have. As much as I dislike Betemit, I think I'd even stick with him over Tejada right now. The guy is just sadly washed up.

I'm baffled by this whole saga as well. Miggy strikes me as only slightly more relevant to the 2012 Orioles than Vlad.
